The Maui Police Department on Friday released the name of one additional fatality from the Aug. 8 Lāhainā fire.

The individual is Allen John Constantino, 25, of Lāhainā. Police released no further information about the individual.

The total number of estimated fatalities from the Aug. 8 fire stands at 97, according to the MPD. Police have so far identified and notified the next-of-kin for 90 people who died in the fire, authorities say. Another individual has been identified, but the family has not yet been located or notified, according to police.

There are still 12 people unaccounted for after the fire, MPD officials also said Friday.

The Aug. 8 wildfire damaged or destroyed more than 2,200 structures within the town, 86% of which were residential, according to the County of Maui. The fire displaced thousands of residents and families, and destroyed Lāhainā’s entire historic district.

Estimated rebuilding costs for Lāhainā exceed $5.5 billion, according to county officials.
