KULA PARK PLAYGROUND GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY – Wed. Jan 29. The County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation announces the groundbreaking ceremony for the Kula Park Playground. MAUI’S NATIVE FOREST BIRDS – Wed. Jan 29. Maui’s native forest birds, like the kiwikiu, are found nowhere else in the world. Due to invasive species and habitat degradation, these species are in trouble. Learn more about these birds, their native habitat, and what needs to happen to prevent their demise.
